This will make the upcoming flagship smartphone from Google marginally larger than its 5.5-inch display touting predecessor. Incidentally, the listed display resolution of the Google Pixel XL2 makes us wonder whether it will come with a Samsung Galaxy S8 like 18:9 display. The internals of the Google Pixel XL2 is manned by a 2.45GHz octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and an Adreno 540 GPU. That aside, the device features a 4GB RAM. This might appear quite low considering that the upcoming OnePlus 5 will come with 8GB RAM. The Google Pixel XL2 that underwent benchmarking features 128GB of internal storage. Google may however launch the smartphone in other storage variants too.
The GFXBench listing further reveals that the smartphone packs a 12MP rear and an 8MP front camera. Thus, it seems that the camera department won’t possibly receive a major upgrade in the Pixel XL2. For the uninitiated, the Google Pixel XL is by far one of the best camera smartphones; so it’s natural for Google to stick to the same camera combination. The camera upgrades in the Google Pixel XL2 would possibly in the sensor department. The top of the line smartphone also come with an NFC sensor for Android Pay. Interestingly, the prototype model which underwent bench marking runs on Android Nougat 7.1.1. The Google Pixel XL2 will however run on Android O when launched.
