The first thing that going to catch your eyes as soon as you see the Honor 6X is the dual camera setup found to the back. It seems like Huawei is on a mission to input a dual camera in every other phone they have. After the Honor 8 and Huawei P9, the Honor 6X is latest smartphone from the brand to sport the dual rear camera. Huawei has made use of a 12MP f/2.2 lens that comes clubbed with another 2MP module; thereby resulting in an increased depth of field. This is unlike the dual 12MP f/2.2 setup on the Huawei P9 and Honor 8. The Honor 6X comes with a metal unibody design with a 5.5 inch 2.5D Curved Full HD (1920x1080p) display to the front. Under the hood, the Honor 6X sports a Kirin 655 octa core chip with an option for either 3GB or 4GB RAM. There are also two storage options too in the form of 32GB and 64GB of eMMC 5.1 internal memory. That said, Huawei has included a slot for memory expansion via MicroSD card (upto 128GB) on the Honor 6X.
Apart from that the smartphone rocks a 3340mAH battery on the inside that comes with support for Quick Charging using Huawei’s proprietary cable. There’s a Fingerprint Sensor too that’s located just below the dual lens located to the rear. The Honor 8 supports Dual SIM (Hybrid SIM slot) and runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 with EMUI 4.1 on top. Huawei’s Honor 6X is available in five colour options – Gold, Silver, Blue, Grey and Rose Gold. It is priced at 999 Yuan ($148/Rs 9910 approx.) for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant. The 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant however is priced higher at 1299 Yuan (Rs 12,850/$193 approx.) The smartphone is available for pre-order starting today and will go on sale in China on October 25.
