Nokia 5.3
Starting off with the Nokia 5.3, which falls in the mid-segment (under-200 USD price point), the latest offering from the company comes with an all-glass design, similar to the Nokia 8.3, with Corning’s Glass protection on the front and the back. Towards the front, there is a 6.55-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop-style notch for the selfie camera. The display offers a 20:9 aspect ratio with a 1600 x 720 pixels screen resolution. Nokia 5.3 comes in three color options: Charcoal, Cyan, and Sand. Talking about performance, the phone comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor with 3GB / 4GB / 6GB of LPPDDR4x RAM and 64GB / 128GB of e-MMC 5.1 onboard storage (expandable up to 512GB with microSD card). It includes a 4000mAh to power the internals and runs on Android 10 out of the box. Among other things, the handset comes with WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C, a 3.5mm audio jack, rear-mounted fingerprinted scanner, and a dedicated Google Assistant button. For optics, the Nokia 5.3 sports a quad-camera setup on the rear, with an LED flash, which includes a 13MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, along with a 5MP ultra-wide sensor with 118° FoV, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it has an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture, housed within the notch.
Nokia 1.3
Coming to the Nokia 1.3, which is the latest budget offering from the company around the 100 USD price point, the phone features a 5.71-inch HD+ display with a notch for the front camera. It comes in three colorways: Charcoal, Cyan, and Sand.
The handset is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 215 chipset and comes with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable up to 400GB with microSD card). There is a 3000mAh battery to provide the juice, and the device runs on Google’s Android Go edition, based on Android 10, out of the box. Besides, it comes with support for WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.2 and has a micro USB port and a 3.5mm audio jack. Moreover, there is Qualcomm aptX audio, a dedicated Google Assistant button, and Face Unlock. In the camera department, the Nokia 1.3 sports a single 8MP camera with auto-focus and LED flash. On the front, it has a 5MP selfie camera, which is housed within the notch.
Nokia 5310
Finally, coming to the Nokia 5310, which takes inspiration from the Nokia Express Music back in the golden Nokia-era, the company seems to have done a good job with getting the overall design on point. The phone’s colorway looks fresh and new, while still retaining certain aspects from the Express Music. Essentially, the phone takes a rounded design approach with a curved display glass and key mat to give it a more ergonomic feel and a comfortable grip in hand. Nokia 5310 comes in two colors: White/Red and Black/Red.
Upfront, the Nokia 5310 features a 2.4-inch QVGA display and dual front-facing speakers. It has the MT6260A processor running at its core with 8MB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage (expandable up to 32GB with microSD card). The device includes a 1200mAh battery and runs on NokiaSeries30+ OS. Among other things, you get FM Radio, micro USB, a 3.5mm audio jack, and Bluetooth 3.0 for connectivity.
Pricing and Availability
The Nokia 5.3 with 4GB + 64GB configuration is priced at 189 Euros (~ 201 USD). On the other hand, the Nokia 1.3 costs 95 Euros (~ 101 USD) and the Nokia 5310 feature carries a price tag of 39 Euros (~ 49 USD). As for the availability, both Nokia 5.3 and Nokia 1.3 will be available starting April, while the Nokia 5310 will be available a bit earlier in March.
