NBC celebrates USA’s 233rd birthday extravaganza with performances by three time Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter Rob Thomas, Multi-Platinum Singer-Songwriter Jewel and Tony Award winner Karen Olivo and the cast of Broadway’s “West Side Story” on the live broadcast of the “Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular.” Hosted by Natalie Morales, NBC’s “Today” National Correspondent and Tiki Barber, “Today” Correspondent and “Football Night in America” Studio Analyst, the show will air in high definition on Saturday, July 4th, 9-10 p.m. EST (all time zones).
Live coverage of the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular on NBC, features a spectacular fireworks display over the East River, midtown Manhattan, the Hudson River, and the Statue of Liberty. The annual fireworks display, which features over 80,000 explosions, begins at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, and is easily viewable from the Promenade, a long strip that overlooks the Brooklyn Queens expressway and faces not just the East river, but across the water, Lower Manhattan as well.
