The Redmi 3X features a 5-inch HD display and is powered by the Snapdragon 430 alongside a 2GB RAM. On the storage front the phone offers 32GB of internal memory along with expandable memory card slot that ca further accommodate up to 128GB. The camera unit also seems to be borrowed from the Redmi 3S, the primary camera is a 13-Megapixel sensor while the secondary camera shapes up in the form of a 5-Megapixel unit. The Redmi 3X is also backed by the same 4100mAh battery pack in the Redmi 3S. Xiaomi Redmi 3X comes in a single 32GB/2GB variant unlike the Redmi 3S and will retail at 899 Yuan ($136), and will be made available in Silver and Gold colors. The plot twist comes in the form of the condition that Redmi 3X will be carrier locked to Unicom and will be exclusive to the carrier. The phone comes shroud in a metal body and the fingerprint sensor finds a place on the back panel. The Redmi 3X features the three capacitive buttons below the screen, similar to the Redmi 3S. The only point we see in spinning off another variant of the Redmi 3S is the low price point. The $136 price tag for the Redmi 3X is attractive and it is very likely that the carrier has subsidised the price. It would be interesting to see if an unlocked variant of the Redmi 3X will be launched.
